Review Books – Oddly enough all of the books in my haul this week were unsolicited books, except The Waking Engine. Oh and Spritzerville,…Ohio is a indie book written by a goodreads buddy which I will be reading. Which of these others should I definitely read?? PS – I collect dolls, and that is the newest one I recently purchased made by artist Sheri Debow.

When I'm in the zone I can flip book pages faster than the eye can see - screaming "More Input!" I'm a book, yarn, & art supply hoarding goblin who loves to draw, make toys and craft all sorts of creepy cute things. My current habit is to listen to audio books while I'm arting it up!

I am such a crazy handmade doll collector. This doll is now hanging on my wall behind my computer monitor haha.

They hadn’t hit my radar before this because I’m usually a strictly fantasy and sci-fi reader. I will give them a try.

I’m glad to hear you say that because I have another friend who really didn’t enjoy it. But based on her review I think I would like it more.

Dark Metropolis sounds like a book I could definitely read. The others are not my usual type of book but I’m willing to branch out but they’ll be awhile before I get to them I think if they are outside my normal genre.

  1. Jessica @ a GREAT read

OOh so envious of Don’t Look Back! Requested a copy from Netgalley in December and they haven’t responded one way or another! I think they’re doing it just to drive me nuts like with White Hot Kiss and the day after it releases officially, they say, sure you can have an ARC! That kind of irritated me, but oh well. Hope you enjoy all your shiny new reads! 🙂

    Here’s my STS

I have had that happen to me before! I got approved for a book on NG the day before the book came out and I’m like really I requested it over two months ago. So odd! I wonder how /why they decide to do it like that.

You should see the rest of my doll collection! My sister also makes handmade one of a kind dolls!

I hope I love The Waking engine, it sounds so out there!

I do love short stories but lately I’ve found that I prefer longer fiction. I used to really enjoy reading collections years ago and I still do. But it takes me longer lately to get through them.

This one arrived unsolicited and the only other Tad Williams book I tried to read I did not enjoy so I DNFd…so I don’t know if I’ll read this one.

I didn’t even expect these Summer of Chills books. I had requested only the SFF books from their summer line up because thats what I favor so I was very surprised when these arrive. I’ll definitely give Dark Metropolis a try and see if I can squeeze in the others as well to break outside my comfort zone lol.
