Book Noms (66)

March 16, 2014 Book Binging 26

What’s more fun than jumping around and seeing what everyone else has added to their shelves for the week? For that reason I link up two these two lovely ladies:

Books! – So I took a stack of over 20 books to the used bookstore to start making room for BEA books in May – I was bad and came home with another 9 books from a trip to three other bookstores. I have….a condition. My new buddy Jessica @ Rabid Reads insists I can’t postpone reading DAUGHTER OF SMOKE & BONE any longer. Below I’m only listing links to the books that I received for review. Oh and I ended up receiving a few picture books – my little toddler will adore them I’m sure!

Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson| Goodreads (ooo this is going to take awhile *smirk*)

The Last Wild by Piers Torday | Goodreads (this looks adorable!)

Dear Killer by Katherine Ewell | Goodreads (Sounds intense! I can’t wait!)

Oh So Brave Dragon by David Kirk | Goodreads

Tuck in Time by Carole Gerber | Goodreads

Ninja! by Apree Chung | Goodreads

When I'm in the zone I can flip book pages faster than the eye can see - screaming "More Input!" I'm a book, yarn, & art supply hoarding goblin who loves to draw, make toys and craft all sorts of creepy cute things. My current habit is to listen to audio books while I'm arting it up!

I don’t mind Forbidden love if it is done well and as long as its not in every book I read. I feel that way about any trope. Cause really there are only so many tricks in the bag its just about making it tasty in a new way for us. I definitely look forward to reading it. A YA book that I haven’t read yet that you love!?? Must I must

I recently had the same problem. I wasn’t allowed to buy any more books until I knock some off of my TRB pile. But I found this really awesome used book website with free shipping and just couldn’t help myself :). I LOVED Daughter of Smoke and Bone!!!! I haven’t read the second one yet but I’m itching to!! Enjoy your books and your babies books as well!

  2. Jessica @ a GREAT read

WOW! That is a HUGE stack of books!! I loooooove Rachel Hawkins! If you haven’t already read the first book in that series, Hex Hall, be sure to get that and read that asap too! It totally surprised me and I ended up loving the trilogy and eating it up!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

I really enjoyed her School Spirits, i have Hex Hall but haven’t read it yet and couldn’t resist picking this one up at the used book store for $3. See I know that is a big stack, I need to make my husband drop the books at the donation pile at the library or the used bookstore so Im not tempted to bring more books home!

Hey, hey! I know those books 😉 And NO, you cannot delay Daughter of Smoke and Bone another moment! Also–I’m going to try to make room for The Way of Kings, so we can BR it, but I saw something the other day that made me wonder if it was a spin-off from one of Sanderson’s other series. Is it? B/c I am really type-a about that kind of thing and have to read the prior series first . . .

No delaying! I’m late already! There is so not enough time in my life. No The Way of Kings is definitely not a spin off – its the first in his supposed ten book epic fantasy.

All of those books are still sitting on the floor of my office from Friday afternoon. =P What a crazy weekend.

      • Jessica @ Rabid Reads

LOL! I’ve been sitting here trying to come up with something that’s been sitting around since Friday, but I got nothin’. Except for me. I did a whole lot of nothing this weekend. Does that count? And yay! about no spin-offs. I just moved it to my for-actually-reading Kindle. I got a 2nd one b/c the other was getting slow and buggy b/c too many books . . .

I’m reading it now (not very far in) but already really, really liking it! I’m glad the next one comes out so soon so we won’t have to wait very long for it! 😀

I need to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone, too. I was a fan of Sunshine. Hope you enjoy it!
