Book Binging (5)

May 3, 2014 Book Binging, memes 39

Huzzah to Book Binging! There is nothing quite as tasty as a good book! If you can’t tell I have a serious book buying and acquiring addiction! Heck, I don’t know a book blogger that doesn’t. If I don’t grab at least as many books as there are number of days in a week I start to go through withdrawals.

So what’s more fun than jumping around and seeing what everyone else has added to their shelves for the week? For that reason I link up two these two lovely ladies:

The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @ Kimba The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga @ Tynga’s Reviews.

Review Books!

Some times I get to the middle of a new week and I’m already wanting to check myself into the loony ward or into Book Buyers Anonymous. I know there is no way I can read as many books in a week as I acquire but I figure hey…I’m saving them for retirement.

Sorry Goodreads is down right now so I couldn’t put in any goodreads links tonight!! Why am I totally going through goodreads crack shake withdrawals!!??

The Immortal Crown by Richelle Mead | Amazon (Adult)

The Princess in the Opal Mask by Jenny Lundquist | Amazon | (YA)

Mortal Danger by Ann Aguirre | Amazon | (YA)

Purchased Books!

I loved the Paradox Trilogy so much I had to own it in print as well as ebook format. Because I have to be able to lend it to people!

Dreams of Gods and Monsters ( #3) by Laini Taylor | Amazon – This one was a present from Kelley @ Oh, The Books!

Fortune’s Pawn (Paradox #1) by Rachel Bach | Amazon

Honor’s Knight (Paradox #2) by Rachel Bach | Amazon

Heaven’s Queen (Paradox #3) by Rachel Bach | Amazon

Among Thieves (Tales of the Kin #1) by Douglas Hulick | Goodreads | Amazon

The Pirate’s Wish by Cassandra Rose Clarke | Amazon

The Assassin’s Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke | Amazon

The Cloud Roads by Martha Wells | Amazon

The Remaining by D.J. Molles | Amazon – Zombies baby!

The Tough Guide to Fantasyland by Diana Wynn Jones| Amazon – This is all because of Nathan @ Fantasy Review Barn and his Tough Traveling!

I also went to two different book signings in the month of April that I wanted to share. One was for The Princess in the Opal Mask (turns out Jenny Lundquist lives literally right around the corner from my in my freaking neighborhood – how uncanny is that? The other was for Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins.

There are LOTS of giveaways on my right hand sidebar – please enter – these books need homes!

When I'm in the zone I can flip book pages faster than the eye can see - screaming "More Input!" I'm a book, yarn, & art supply hoarding goblin who loves to draw, make toys and craft all sorts of creepy cute things. My current habit is to listen to audio books while I'm arting it up!

Nice book haul this week! I really have to get reading the Age of X series. Gonna put my name on the holds list for the audiobook at the library!

Hope you’ll enjoy The Remaining, it’s like classic Walking Dead style zombie story, nothing terribly original but that’s not necessarily a bad thing for this particular genre. I really had a fun time with it.

Wow. That is one amazing haul. The Princess in the Opal Mask looks SO good. I really hope you enjoy all of your books this week!

Ooh, so many of these I like. Cassandra Rose Clarke is really good — her YA books aren’t my favourites, but I do enjoy them. Martha Wells is just great. And I’ve got Rachel Bach’s books to read too, must get round to them. Hope you enjoy all these!

    My StS.

Ohh…so much awesome here. XD Eeep! YOU GOT TO MEET AUTHORS. SO AWESOME. And I’ve noticed a few bloggers saying Goodreads is down. NOOOO. That is the worse thing ever. I can live without a lot of sites on the internet, but Goodreads? I need it in my life all. the. time. Anyway, I hope it gets fixed. 😐 And don’t send the bug to Australia. Haha! It’s still working for me. 😉 My StS!

It must have been back up by the time you checked it was down for such a huge chunk of time the other day I was going thru total crack shake withdrawals! The book signings were totally fun. I am sad there aren’t more adult SFF book signings but YA is the super popular books right now I guess.

I haven’t listened to many YA on audio because they take too long that way. I can read one in like 4 to 6 hours where the audio will take 7 to 10 and still longer days wise because I just dont listen as welll as I read.

I am SO jealous that you got Mortal Danger! I can’t wait to see what you think about it. Also excited to see what you think of The Princess in the Opal Mask–have had that one on my wishlist since it came out, but haven’t heard much about it. And don’t even talk to me about the Goodreads blackout . . . I nearly lost my mind, LOL. Excellent haul, Tabitha 😉

Ahh! So jealous of Mortal Danger. I can’t wait to read that book and that cover is just gorgeous. I hadn’t heard of The Princess in the Opal Mask before but that sounds like an interesting read and what a pretty cover.
I hope you’ll enjoy The Assassin’s series. I loved the first book but haven’t read the 2nd one just yet.
Enjoy your lovely books this week! Happy reading! 🙂

Ahhh, SO jealous of Mortal Danger, Revenge books are my type of reads (Heart-Shaped Bruise by Tanya Byrne is amazing, you should check that one out- one of my favourites) I’m saving a few for retirement, I’ve had some on my shelf since 2006 that I haven’t read. though probably will never read because my taste has changed since then. Poor books. Love your hair! 🙂

Thanks so glad you like the hair, i absolutely love it as well. It can look so punk when i spike it!

I really need to clean out my shelf of some of those books that I know I willl never read but then I get paranoid that my tastes will change again and that I will read them afterall. The best bet is to just keep them and double stack them in the back, i know that I mIght regret it if I got rid of them.

Totally send me the book recommendation on goodreads so It will save you as the recommender and I will snatch it up!

I hear the second book to Among Thieves is better than the first. Since I know that going in I think I’ll like it more. I often experience that …liking the second book better if the first was a 3. I guess I’ll find out soon!
