Huzzah to Book Binging! There is nothing quite as tasty as a good book! If you can’t tell I have a serious book buying and acquiring addiction! Heck, I don’t know a book blogger that doesn’t. If I don’t grab at least as many books as there are number of days in a week I start to go through withdrawals.
So what’s more fun than jumping around and seeing what everyone else has added to their shelves for the week? For that reason I link up two these two lovely ladies:

Review Books!
An interesting mix of books this week. Oh dear me whatever will I read next? Uhhh yeah that believe it or not is the hardest decision ever *stringing cautionary hazard tape around the growing to be read pile at this very moment.*

Free to Fall by Lauren Miller | Goodreads |Â (YA) – arrived unexpectedly from HarperTeen – sounds neat tho – anyone else planning to read?
The Shadow Throne by Django Wexler | Goodreads | – Mogsy loves everything Django so I’m going to binge read him – Roc you are rocking it!
Nebula Awards Showcase 2014 edited by Kij Johnson | Goodreads | – short stories hooray! unexpected surprise from Pyr
Lailah by Nikki Kelly | Goodreads | (YA) – vampires and angels? I admit the cover kind of freaks me out. Thanks Feiwel & Friends!
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch | Goodreads | – (YA) – Lookie lookie at this tasty looking cookie!

Purchased or Gifted Books!
I HAVE A CONFESSION! – I collect Alice in Wonderland books. It’s not something that I set out to do. They have just slowly been accumulating. I do however wish I could get my hands on an antique original copy. Sigh do you know how much money that would cost though?

Snow White by Jacob Grim, Camille Rose Garcia (Illustrations) | Goodreads |
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by The Brothers Grimm, Camille Rose Garcia (Illustrations) | Goodreads |

Ya, Mogsy keeps reminding me I have not read Wexler too. But what can you do? Can’t get to them all. The cover on the Nebula showcase is friggen awesome.
Alice in Wonderland is like Oz, it can be seen through so many different designs, the options are limitless.

I agree – no we can’t get to them all and I feel so freaking guilty about that. Why do I feel guilty cause I feel like I owe it to all of these books to read them because I just know they are a big bushel of awesome waiting for me.
Poor lonely books.
Anyways – yes I love that about Wonderland and Oz these will no doubt continue to be done and done and done over and over again! Which excites me cause I love it when they are illustrated in crazy styles like this.

An antique copy of a classic can cost a little bit – but it depends on the book and its conditions, too. There are copies of “Alice’s adventures in Wonderland” well preserved (notice, not perfectly; “just” well), printed in the first years of the XX century, which can cost 200€, more or less (275 $ -USD).
When I’m curious about an original edition, or just an older one, I use to go to en.maremagnum.com; it’s very complete, easy and interesting. Hope it will help you 🙂

Thanks – yeah I know it can cost a lot. The copy my husband already bought me was a doozy. But its so neat to see the old vintage illustrations. In the mean time I just like collecting newer random versions that have different illustrations. I don’t have a big collection oh and retellings. So maybe less than ten.

Greedy Gobbler is cute! Maybe a bit of a mouthful though. I will call him the Gobbler for short, unless you come up with some other affectionate nickname for him. He is so adorable.
