This week’s art was inspired by
SEA CHANGE by S.M. Wheeler
SEA CHANGE | My Review | Goodreads
This was an absolutely delightful book. It was weird, just the way I like but more importantly it was about friendship and the lengths we will go to for those we care about. It features a young girl as she grows up and her Octopus / sea monster friend who gets taken captive.

Alright folks link up and lets see what you’ve done! Remember to link back to this post!

Oh that’s so cute! I read this one and I can totally see the picture for the book! Thanks for sharing!

How CUTE is that? Octopuses are one of my very favorite sea creatures 😉

I’m just repeating the other commenters – but that’s so cute! The book cover seems very misleading – I would not have thought the book would be a fantasy at all! I think your fan-art would make a better cover. 🙂

This was not one of my favorite sketches! Sometimes I really try to draw something cool to go with a book but I’m still not good enough yet (especially with limbs – I always get the proportions wrong!) Anyways all those items on the cover play a part in the book -that is why they make up the letters of the cover. You’ll get an “ah hah” moment after reading then looking again at the cover.
So glad you like the sketch!

Much love to octopi, totally! Heh, can’t wait to see the mermaid & octo reading! It’s gonna be like a bonus round xD
I’m loving this to bits, I really am! I’ve given myself the ultimate rule of time limit on doing these , like I give myself 15 minutes tops, and whatever isn’t done in that time, it just isn’t part of the doodle 😀 That way I don’t allow myself to obsess over everything in the image, and just go with the flow of inspiration, hehe.
Really awesome idea, Tabitha!

That’s so cute! I’ve been wanting to join this, but I have to make some time to be artistic and it just hasn’t worked out lately. Hopefully soon though!
