Yes, Ok so I’m a dork. Now what’s all this about? Admittedly when I first started this blog I fully anticipated that I would be going it solo because hey, I wanted to be the Queen of my own castle! All ways being my ways – and me just being a crazy little, it gets done however I want to do it, blogger. Sounds lovely doesn’t it? In reality several years have passed since I started reviewing and as some of you know you start off reviewing your own books, then you get a few shiny ARCS, but by year 3? Dude the books start to roll in faster than you can read them, and you WANT to read them, YOU WANT TO READ THEM ALL!!
Realistically though that’s just not possible (maybe it is for some of you but not for me…I can sometimes read a book a day when I’m in the zone and hyped up on…chocolate, but I have a family, a toddler! a full time freaking soul sucking job! Ok, I’ll stop whining now, I love my life, and I love reading. I can’t get enough books, there just aren’t enough minutes in the day. So I thought to myself “should I stop accepting and or requesting books?” What are you Tabs? MENTAL?? Hells to the freaking no I can’t stop requesting books, because I’m addicted now. My ticket has been punched and I’m full steam ahead – so yes, I wants to read them all, but can I read them all? No, not in this lifetime, so hell lets just cook up some damn Tabby clones!
But luckily I came up with an even better solution than cloning myself because lets face it the world can only handle so much of the hot damn sugar momma that is me. So what better solution is there except get two of my local best friends just as addicted to book blogging and reviewing books as I am!? The mission was set, the bait and trap laid, all that was left to do was hound Tina and Maggie until they fell into my devious addiction, and keep them huffing pages til their eye balls bleed. Shiny books are irresistible to us book nerds. Their fate was sealed as soon as the smell of pages and ink started to waft in their direction. *bows to my own evil genius*
These ladies just so happen to be two of my closest friends and have unwittingly agreed to help keep my sinking mish mash flotsam of review books afloat. Jinkies they really don’t know what they signed themselves up for! But shhhhh don’t tell them ok? We don’t want to scare them off just yet, I just caught them. Oh yes, and I’m telling you no joke when I say these ladies live right around the corner and down the street from me. So the three of us have full access to the same pile of amazing books! Let the book binging begin! Alright, I’ll shut up and get on with it. Now without further ado – a word from each of my lovely ladies:

Review Contributor Extraordinaire: Tina
I am a reader, I have always been a reader. I started reading Piers Anthony when I was in second grade and haven’t been able to quit fantasy since! I live with an avid gamer and gaming is definitely a passion for me. When life gets crazy (and around me it always is) I can be spotted sitting with my family playing video games or tucked up on the couch with a book in my lap. Reading is my escape, that being said I love to devour books at an alarming rate. When Tabs asked me to help her read I quickly agreed. I am always moving at warp speed, so although I escape to read, reviewing needs to be kept short and sweet. I will never fail to say what needs to be said, but don’t expect any beating around the bush or book with me. I’ll tell it like it is!

Review Contributor Extraordinaire: Maggie
Reading is a passion and my favorite (only?) hobby besides gardening. Both of these hobbies make something grow, be it the physical plants themselves or my sense of wonder and imagination. I enjoy reading books multiple times, and I consider some characters to be old friends who need visiting every once in a while. I read historical, romance, cozy-mysteries, YA, dystopian, chick-lit, and my favorite is fantasy of all flavors. I occasionally dabble in other genres to round myself out a bit, but those are where my true passion lies. My favorite read is The Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon. Between books, I like to take walks with my family… a loving husband, 2 children and a mini-doxy named Woody.

Yes, but now it won’t be me having to do the post every day! This will help me so much now that I am back to work full time. I anticipate at least one review post a week from both Tina and Maggie which will give me at least two days to relax a smidge. They are so awesome being willing to help me review all of these books! I am so excited that they agreed to join.

Heck no! At first it was just going to be one and then both were interested and I was like chaching – SCORE! Can you believe Tina has already read 5 almost 6 books and written 3 reviews? And Maggie only agreed three days ago and her first book is already read and the review written as well! I love my friends!

Amanda @ On a Book Bender
YES! I love having reviewers on my blog with me. It makes me worry less, and it draws in new people since they both read in a few different genres than I do. It makes my blog well-rounded. In the best way possible. 😀
Welcome to your review contributors!

Exactly! I can’t wait to see how it all works out and whether they end up loving blogging as much as I do. Luckily we all love mostly the same kinds of books so we’ll still be adult, YA and some MG all in the fantasy and science fiction sub genres – but there are a lot of sub genres so this will be fun! And living right around the corner from eachother we can share all the books!

Congrats on your new associate reviewers! It took me FOREVER to hand over some of my bloggy power to others, but if you get good peeps the advantages far outweigh the minuses. I still post 4 days a week, but it’s nice to be able to spend more time reading and less time blogging.
Welcome to the crazy world of book blogging Tina & Maggie! 🙂

Man, Tabitha–my FIRST time dragging my ass over to your lovely new blog and you’ve already made changes! I feel bad I’ve been so MIA (DEAR LORD, even more personal issues have popped up over the last week or so, blergh), but am so happy for you. You seem settled into your new blog, and how exciting to have co-bloggers, too! Look forward to getting to know Maggie and Tina better. I swear I’m usually a much better blogger friend than this, ladies–the next few weeks are still going to be busy, but I’ll visit whenever I can. 🙂

Haha – yes changes indeed! There will be more coming as I’m going through another redesign. Heck I wouldn’t doubt if I redesign the blog a bunch over the next year only because now I can *cackles madly*
As for Tina and Maggie they are two of my best local friends and I’ve always wanted to have Maggie blog with me and so now I finally can! Tina is already off to a whooping start and has read 5 of the review books already! Though she wants me to space out her reviews so she can get used to blogging and commenting around gradually. Wouldn’t want to scare her away.
