~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week’s art was inspired by ME! meaning – I wish I could be sitting outside just like this reading. So in the hopes of encouraging more participants I’m just showing you a random sketch I drew this week. You can see lots more of my daily doodles over on my instagram! Remember if you decide to participate please use #FanArtUp so we can all checkout your doodles!
So link up folks we want to see your art!
THROWBACK THURSDAY
I have been thinking that Thursdays are a good day to share something about myself so that way every week you can see a snipped about me or a picture from my past. I might run out of funny personal anecdotes eventually but here is a picture of me when I was little. As you can tell I’ve always been a bit of a ham.
Faye @ The Social Potato
Awww, I like your art! This sounds really good, and I feel like taking up drawing again for kicks. I used to draw a lot when I was in High School, but that kinda changed when I branched out to other interests. And aww, you were so cute!!! 🙂 Is that a Korean dress, by the way? I’m not certain and please correct me if I am wrong!
I hope you do decide to do some drawings! I would love to see them. I think this feature really helps me to remember that I can still enjoy my other hobbies.
Yes that’s a Korean hanbok dress. My mother is half Korean. This is one of my favorite sets of photos from when I was younger. =)
I always get too distracted to sit outside and read (and probably even moreso if I had all those cuties hanging out around me too!) but super cute drawing 🙂 Especially love the one who seems to be sunbathing by the stump.
And haha, I was a ham growing up too. 😛
Yes aren’t those cuties adorable!? As for me reading outside wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t get too hot or too cold. For summer right now it would definitely be too hot.
Yes the sunbathing or napping one. He’s my favorite too!
Your wide-eyed characters remind me of the Little Sisters of Bioshock!
Dude you are so right. I really really wanted to play Bioshock but I got violently motion sick every time I tried.
I’ve been leaning more towards the circle eye style lately. I think it makes me feel more comfortable since I’m not very good at realism and gives it a creepy but still cute vibe.
I love your sketches, Tabitha! I look forward to seeing what you’ve drawn each week:-) And the photos are adorable. That’s a great idea to give us little glimpses into your past.
Thanks Tammy! I’m so glad you like them. I think I’ll probably try to include more than one sketch each week from now on. I figured trying to add more of “me” into the blog would be a good thing and also make it more fun for me as well.
Love your picture this week! I can’t even draw a stick figure, so I’ll be following along every week, from the sidelines, lol 🙂
Tabitha (Pabkins)
Oh come come now you can TOTALLY draw a stick figure. And honestly many of them start out like that for me. A circle here or there a line and then add in more “detail” but then my drawings don’t have a lot of detail. The simpler the better for me LOL.
Anya is doing “post-it note” FanArtUp haha. You can do one minute stick figures!
lol that would be me in every photo ever. My nickname as a kid was Buckwheat. =/
Megan (Adrift on Vulcan)
Aww, crazy then and crazier now. 😉 You look so adorable! Love the whole huge colorful dress thing going on — I can totally tell you have a good sense of fashion, ha!
I want to join the fan art thing, but I suck at drawing and really, I have no idea what to draw so I’d rather not embarrass myself. Can’t wait to see everyone else’s doodles, though!
But you must participate! come on come on please please!!? Even a stick figure? You’d be surprised how nice it’ll turn out then you’ll be addicted like me.
I’m totally crazy – though I think I’ve always been this crazy. Imagine how bad I’ll be when I’m 80?
I completely agree with you about every week. Sometimes I use a drawing that has been drawn WEEKS ago when I can’t come up with something. And that’s why I’m also happy now that it doesn’t have to be fan art every week because now I can just pull random pages from my sketchbooks and have it be a random doodle day!
What I’m so totally excited we found eachother! Some mutual stalking going on =)
I love those little characters that you draw – do they have a name or are they just critters. They’re so good. The one lying down on the grass – that’s me!
I love your feature on Thursdays – always a bit of a mixed bag, you never know what you’re going to get 🙂
Tabitha (Pabkins)
Thanks Mogsy! I know it’s so all over the place. I think I’m allowing this to be my one post where its just whatever I want it to be. Even if it’s titled Fan Art Up – I’m just going to put whatever the heck I want into it from now on (always with some art at the top though of course!) hhaha
Yes they are vibrant aren’t they? It’s a traditional Korean hanbok dress. I think I was part of some festival or parade when I was little.
So glad you like the doodle! I love my little guys there in the drawing.
