This week’s art was inspired by

All of the Fairyland books but most particularly #3 – there are illustrations all throughout each book so I redrew the one on pg 208

My review of: The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making

Me review of: The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There

My review of: The Girl Who Soared Over Fairyland and Cut the Moon in Two

And you know there is a new book that is coming out that features a new lead character instead of the little girl September which these three books followed around.

You can see lots more of my daily doodles over on my instagram! Remember if you decide to participate via Twitter or Instagram please use #FanArtUp so we can all checkout your doodles!

Random Doodle

I sketched these monsters onto a wood panel because I’m feeling in the mood to paint – these guys look easy enough – we’ll see how it goes. I’ll update a future post with the end results – if it doesn’t turn out too horrible that is!

When I'm in the zone I can flip book pages faster than the eye can see - screaming "More Input!" I'm a book, yarn, & art supply hoarding goblin who loves to draw, make toys and craft all sorts of creepy cute things. My current habit is to listen to audio books while I'm arting it up!

He’s a wyvern! (not that i know what the difference is)

I used pastel chalks because I couldn’t find my color pencils and just did a rough and dirty color and rubbed the color around. haha

I’m looking forward to painting the monsters – I just sketched what I think is a really pretty horned girl onto another woooden plaque.

I saw some of these on your instagram! Lovely! Now I’m inspired to draw my own “girl with her dragon” piece, I’m thinking of using my daughter as a model…

How is it possible that you’ve made these books sound even cuter than I thought they looked before?! That Wyvern (wtf is a Wyvern, anyway? Maybe Isabella Trent knows) drawing is adorable – and a very good adaptation of the original artwork!
