This week’s art was inspired by
BLEACH
(an anime show – see last weeks Fan Art Up post for a video)
I found an adorable image on the web that I couldn’t resist turning into a yarn painting. What do you guys think!? The color quality of the picture is BAD because I took this just now late at night with really overhead hallway lighting lol.

RANDOM DOODLES
This month is “Inktober”. Essentially its a drawing/inking challenge for the month of October to draw and then ink at least one drawing a day. I’ve been participating via my instagram account and I’ve almost managed to do a drawing/inking every day. And some days I’ll do multiple to catch up on days I’ve missed. So be sure to pop by my instagram account to have a look.
You can see lots more of my daily doodles over on my instagram! Remember if you decide to participate via Twitter or Instagram please use #FanArtUp so we can all checkout your doodles!

So link up folks we want to see your art!

He’s so cute! I’ve never heard of yarn painting before. (I’ll have to google it.) The colors look fine to me. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

The colors in the picture aren’t the true colors because of the poor lighting is all I meant. I don’t know if what I’m doing is called yarn , that’s just what I call it 🙂

I just can’t imagine doing yarn painting. Don’t you get glue all over your fingers? It looks really hard, but it is so cool!

Yrs I definitely get a lot of glue all over my fingers! I’m actually trying to find a cleaner way to do it…but I’m not coming up with any other ideas.

That looks amazing! And more than slightly time consuming. 😉 And I’ve been loving all your Inktober sketches/inkings, too. Great work!

Thanks Kel. Our definitely is very time consuming but it gets new to listen to my audio books. This one took the length of Clariel by Garth Nix

Miriam @ Inky Realms
Never heard of yarn painting before despite being a kindergarten teacher! I am tempted to do something like this with my class, although of course it won’t be at all comparable to what you have here… it’s so detailed, looks like it took you AGES. (Did it?)

Wow this looks awesome! I didn’t even knew something called yarn paintings existed. It looks so fun. I have seen Bleach (up till episode 150 or something like that) and I always liked Kon!

Hi Tabitha, how you doing?
I love these yarn pictures – I really wouldn’t have the patience to do them but I do think they’re great. I don’t know how you don’t manage to have blobs of glue all over the picture? My fingers would be all stuck together and I’d probably have yarn in my hair and on my face! And, I think the colour looks good.
I’ve posted my dreadful doodles! I think I’m getting worse as time progresses rather than better – oh well, dumb persistence and all that!

I’ve been wondering why you’ve been posting so many ink drawing on IG this month; I just chalked it up to you being on a doodling streak, now it all makes sense. LOL The dude in your yarn painting is a cutie, but why is he so sad? o_O
