QUESTION for all of you!! I’m seriously considering changing the name of my weekly art feature to something else because heck lately I haven’t really felt like doing any “Fan Art” I’ve just felt like doing whatever the heck I want. And I know that I say we can all just create whatever we want, it doesn’t have to be inspired by something else. But if I do that more and more then wouldn’t that make the title of it misleading? So any thoughts or suggestions on a new name? Something that would definitely indicate it’s art, likely of any kind. I’m going to mull it over some more as well.

RAINBOW BRITE!

I had a rough day today – originally I drew this sad little guy in a monster suit (which you can see on my instagram) – then I thought around 9pm….I’m really feeling like some Rainbow Brite meets Dark Queen but more on the Rainbow Brite side. So I started roughing out her form with my typical very basic body form and I worked from the shoes up, giving her sneakers and some stripey socks ….but then I ended up going way more for Dark Queen instead LOL. But as you can see you can still see tiny hints of Rainbow Brite in there if you look hard enough, her shoes, stripey leggings, what would have been stripey wrist cuffs – but I guess that’s pretty much it.

Why not just pop over to my instagram – I’m too lazy to load another one here *evil laughter* If you guys can’t tell I’m totally addicted to instagram now. I think I spend as much time surfing art on there now then I used to spend hounding Twitter – which I seem to have abandoned now that I’ve fallen in love with instagram.

When I'm in the zone I can flip book pages faster than the eye can see - screaming "More Input!" I'm a book, yarn, & art supply hoarding goblin who loves to draw, make toys and craft all sorts of creepy cute things. My current habit is to listen to audio books while I'm arting it up!

      Good to know! I’m actually considering putting up my art on a gallery style page, or my tumblr since I know allot of people don’t do instagram. But you don’t have to have an account to look at someone’s photos. I’d you click the link it will just take you to my photo feed on an internet page instead.

      Thanks!! Luckily you don’t need an instagram account top view someone’s photo feed, just click the link and it will take you to a web address that shows all my photos instead. I am thinking tho of seeing if I can add a photo style gallery page top my blog website. Our maybe uploading them to tumblr.

    I hadn’t even thought of the fact that it’s called ‘fan’ art. I’m sorry I’m brain dead and can’t think of a good title for you. There must be a good pun out there somewhere! 😉

    Very nice! It’s true, Instagram can be addicting.

    For the feature name, I say do whatever’s easiest for you or whatever you prefer. I’m not attached to a name one way or the other so much as the kick-in-the-rear to actually draw something each week. 🙂
