Book Binging (14) – Long overdue & all the lootz

December 28, 2014 Book Binging, memes 16

Huzzah to Book Binging! and all things Science Fiction and Fantasy!

So Christmas is over and I know its been months since I did a Book Binging post because quite frankly I’ve been too lazy to compile them – not to mention I really haven’t gotten as many books the past few months as I was in the middle of a major book reading slump so I wasn’t buying many books nor was I requesting any. But now I’m back full swing so I figured I’d compile many of the books I did receive over the past I don’t know two or more months…plus whatever I got for Christmas.

Review books are ones I’ve either requested or accepted into my review pile and will definitely get read eventually likely by me (or perhaps one of the other ladies if it strikes their fancy).

– A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas (arc) – I can’t wait to dive into this!!! Ahhh
– Serafina and the Black Cloak by Robert Beatty (manuscript)
– The Iron Wyrm Affair by Lilith Saintcrow (TP) – currently reading/listening to
– The Red Plague Affair by Lilith Saintcrow (TP)
– The Ripper Affair by Lilith Saintcrow (TP)
– Replica (#1) & Revolution (#3) by Jenna Black (TP)
– Half-Resurrection Blues by Daniel Jose Older (MMP)
– The Witches of Echo Park by Amber Benson (paperback)
– Craft-A-Day by Sarah Goldschadt (hardcover craft book)
– Pom-Poms! by Sarah Goldschadt and Lexi Walters Wright (paperback craft book)

Unsolicited books are ones that just arrive at my house unexpectedly. Luckily most of them still fall within my genre reading preferences and some I will totally read some of them (oh lovely when one arrives that I wanted to read anyway!) and others I will try to make room for if I can. The rest I usually end up asking other folks if they are interested in reading and guest reviewing.

– Stolen (#2) by Melissa de la Cruz & Michael Johnston (arc) – I might read it
– Sustenance by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro (hardcover) – I haven’t read any in this world yet
– Beneath by Roland Smith (arc) – probably won’t get to it
– Fear City by F. Paul Wilson (hardcover) – haven’t read any of these books
– Touch of Evil by C.T. Adams & Cathy Clamp (paperback) – Currently reading
– A Crown for Cold Silver by Alex Marshall – probably going to read it
– We Are Pirates by Daniel Handler – Definitely going to read it
– Covenant’s End by Ari Marmell – I still need to read the first 3!

I have some fabulous book blogger friends that we swap books with each other when we are either done with them or if we get extras. And sometimes we just like to push books on each other. I love all you ladies! I also got a few books from my Christmas wishlist!

My Crazy Corner

I definitely won’t be waiting this long again to do a book binging post. Indeed I’m sitting here right now looking at that list and going …uhhh do I really want to add cover graphics for all of those titles…I say hell now I don’t.

What books are you binging on this week!?

When I'm in the zone I can flip book pages faster than the eye can see - screaming "More Input!" I'm a book, yarn, & art supply hoarding goblin who loves to draw, make toys and craft all sorts of creepy cute things. My current habit is to listen to audio books while I'm arting it up!

OMG ACOTAR!!! Sooo jealous but soo happy for you at the same time!! haha I hope you can get to it soon 😀 YAY for Illusions of Fate, Waistcoats and Weaponry (even though I still need to read Etiquette & Espionage myself), Shadowfell, Wildwood Dancing and Daughter of the Forest (still need to read ANY Juliet Marillier) and of course, much love for ToG, I’m very curious if the audio version is any good, I’ve never gotten any feedback. Anyways obviously you had lovely holidays bookish-wise 😀 I hope you can get over your reading slump and enjoy them – I’m in something of a slump myself >.< Here's to fabulous reads in the new year!! ♥

Oh I got over the reading slump over a month ago thank goodness. During December I’ve been reading about a book almost every day or every other day. I’ve been a reading machine! I hope you get over yours fast.

I am totally gong to read the new Maas book very soon since I’ve been giving myself a lot of flex to just read whatever I want every other book in between each review book.

Gosh it’s really amazing to see that with the exception of the adult titles/authors I haven’t heard of a lot of these. Looks like I have some research to do!

Ohh that is an awesome haul! It’s such a pain to do graphics (good idea to nix it), but at the same time, brings so many book fuzzies to see all the great titles.

I haven’t read any of Chelsea Quinn Yarbro’s St. Germain titles, but I did really enjoy two books she wrote on Dracula’s brides. I actually wrote a paper on one of them in college, hah! The third was never published :/ St. Germain is one of those series that’s been going on so long, I wonder how hard it would be to get into it? Unless you don’t need to read all… I think there are 28 books.

A Court of Thorns and Roses – I am really curious about this one. Hope you enjoy it!

Haha I don’t do weekly posts for my books anymore either. I actually pick up less that way but try to do monthly ones instead.
Ok, I *need* your thoughts on Replica. I read it, liked it, but have had the sequel around and haven’t had the energy to pick it up…idk why though.
The Gail Carriger series…you said you own in print, do u mean u read it already a? Just wanted the audiobook? Bc I LOVE LOVE that series. <3 I need to finish it Im on the last book I think, wait maybe second to last. I have them both.
Anyway glad u had a happy holiday! Looks like you got major goodies! Illusions of fate… *drools* one of my favs of the year actually! Finn is my book boyfriend :$ lol. I had to buy that one in HC after reading the eARC (Lemme just tell u I don't do that often!)

A court of thorns and roses.. I’m fangirling at the moment. I’m a bit jealous of everyone who got an ARC of this book, haha. I wrote a huge mail to Bloomsbury to convey my love for Sarah & why I want this book (BEAUTY AND THE BEAST), but I guess it didn’t work. Wildwood dancing, your husband has a good taste 😉 Happy reading!

YOU HAVE SO MANY BOOKS. And yay A Court of Roses and Thorns! SOUNDS LIKE FUN. I have yet to read anything by Sarah J. Maas, but I brought Throne of Glass with my back home so I should get to it soon. I have no idea when or if you’ll read all these books, but I hope you enjoy looking at them all hahahah!

YOU MUST READ JULIET MARILLIER’S BOOKS! Every single one of her novels are amazing and are perfection (sorry, I’m biased because she’s my favourite author). Have you read A Court of Thorns and Roses yet? How brilliant was it? (Yes, Sarah J. Maas is nothing short of brilliant).

Wow, it still looks like you’ve gotten heaps of books (which there is never anything wrong with it). Hope you enjoy all your books!
