This week’s art

It is more like news actually. I opened a local shop! As you all know I haven’t been blogging much at all the past two months. I have had some major issues with reading concentration. I am blaming post partum hormones. Anyways I have been doing tons of art.

Because of of that my stockpile of artwork has grown and I decided to take the plunge and rent a space in a local boutique in my area. There was a lot of work for me to do to get my area of the shop setup and to get all of my items inventoried and labeled but it is now mostly done and I am just slowly adding more stuff to it.

Here is what one corner of my alcove looks like! The other corner is mostly bare and not worth showing yet. I have decided I am still going to list a few things on Etsy as well but if any of you ever run across one of my pieces on the blog you love just message me and I won’t list it on Etsy.

This Week’s Crafty AGGRAVATION!

I drew an adorable girl with little ghost is around her and turned her into a plaque but then decided I wanted to do the same girl and position with wavy hair and kitties instead so I modified her and made a second plaque. One with purple/pink hair and the other with blue. I was silly and added a lantern to the purple haired kitty one and when I went to do the color completely messed up the background. So the central figure looks good but I’m not happy with the background at all. I worked on it for hours trying to fix it before I gave up and painted over the entire background. I finished the blue girl and she turned out amazing and has already sold. Go figure right?

Feel free to link up in the comments (I’m too lazy to make a linky right now!)

When I'm in the zone I can flip book pages faster than the eye can see - screaming "More Input!" I'm a book, yarn, & art supply hoarding goblin who loves to draw, make toys and craft all sorts of creepy cute things. My current habit is to listen to audio books while I'm arting it up!

Your shop looks gorgeous – and I loved the blue haired girl with the pink and black socks – so lovely. And the purple haired girl/tombstone. Your pictures are just lovely.
Who has time for reading when they’re setting up a business!
I hope your shop is a huge success.

Congrats on the spot in the boutique! Your artwork is amazing. I’ve often wondered if you sell it on Etsy or elsewhere. 🙂 I’ll have to find your Etsy shop to check it out. Cheers!
