What is the longest you’ve gone without reading?

I’ve definitely had the longest reading dry spell the past few months. While I’ve read a page or two I literally haven’t finished a book ask thru June and July. Two months…crazy right.

Hence the reason you haven’t seen blog posts from me. I have no books to review! And I’ve never really enjoyed doing memes.

I think my attention span may be recovering tho because I’m reading Rachel Aaron’s second Heartstriker book and listening to the third Jack Campbell book from a series I’ve liked so much. Could this mean Tabitha is back in action? Until I get more read how would you guys feel about one more art post a week to get me back in the swing of blogging again?

Stalk me!

Tabitha (Pabkins)

When I'm in the zone I can flip book pages faster than the eye can see - screaming "More Input!" I'm a book, yarn, & art supply hoarding goblin who loves to draw, make toys and craft all sorts of creepy cute things. My current habit is to listen to audio books while I'm arting it up!

You should do what feels right for you. I find it helps if I talk about anything to get me back on the saddle again. So if Art is the way to go, you should definitely do it! I think I’ve only gone a week without reading. Gosh. Two months without a book is such an inconceivable concept for me.

    Good luck, Tabitha!

I can go a week without reading a book before I start going a little crazy and driving everyone around me crazy as well. I love your Art it up posts, so if you feel like posting those have at it!

Oh gosh, throughout my University years, I completely gave up reading for fun. Sure I was reading textbooks, but I don’t count those, so my longest dry spell was YEARS O.O I shudder to even think about it. I’m sorry you’ve been in a dry spell lately but from the sounds of things, you might be shaking it off as we speak 😀 Oh and I’m definitely game for more art posts ♥

Heyyy girl, definitely do whatever you want to post on your blog! I think no matter the content, we will all be around waiting to see. And I think the longest I’ve gone is a few months, sometimes I’ll just be obsessed with something else for a while! But eventually I always go back to it. Keep on truckin’ girl, it’ll come back to you when it feels right/you really miss it. 🙂

A few days maybe? I’ve had the “I don’t want to read anything” mood before, but it’s never lasted very long. Usually I’ll get the random urge after a day or two to re-read an old favorite. And then I’m back to reading again. Sorry to hear it’s been so long for you! *snugs*

I totally wouldn’t mind seeing more art, even when you get out of your slump. *grins*

But see even the old favorites don’t sound appealing either. It’s hard you know. Oh well I’ll indulge in the art and crafts until my urge to read resurfaces. I’m trying more audio now.

Back when I was in college, I didn’t have much time for fun reading, to the point that I’d try to take one literature class each semester to make sure I read any kind of fiction at all. Nowadays though I can’t go for more than a few days before I need to decompress with a bubble bath and a good book.

My first year of university was pretty dry as far as personal reading went because I was working two jobs and very overwhelmed, so like a fraction of how tiring I imagine it must be having a new baby. Maybe audiobooks while doing art would be a good way to get back into it? Personally I really like your art posts! 🙂

I think the longest for me was two or three months, which has happened twice that I know of. Once was just a major reading slump where nothing really appealed to me and the other was when I made myself stop reading so I could focus on exams at school. Reading slumps can be really frustrating but sometimes they’re good because when you do finally start reading again it feels amazing 🙂 I hope you find something amazing to read soon!

I did! I have read at least three books this week. So things are going great now. Course all of them have been audio books so I’ve still been able to do my art or crocheting during the “reading” =)
