You never know how much…until it dies!

August 17, 2015 Discussion 11

Just how much do you depend on your computer? A lot for me I guess…even tho I haven’t been using it as much lately with my lack of daily blogging this past month. But now that I have been trying to rev things back up again it really ticked me off when my computer died! (I just finished my first book in two months!)

So I am stuck with only my phone and iPad and doing blog stuff on either is very annoying because I have a tendency to lose posts while creating them and can’t load photos and edit things the way I want to.  So posts might be formatted weird until I can see about getting my computer fixed (7-10 days) or buy a new one…I am hoping a fix is possible!

When I'm in the zone I can flip book pages faster than the eye can see - screaming "More Input!" I'm a book, yarn, & art supply hoarding goblin who loves to draw, make toys and craft all sorts of creepy cute things. My current habit is to listen to audio books while I'm arting it up!

I’m so sorry! I kind of know how you feel. The screen of my computer just broke. Luckily, we had a seperate computer screen left from an older actual computer, so I plugged that in. So I can still access my files and transfer them, but I need to buy a new laptop too.

I’m really sorry this happened to you! I’m hoping for you it can be fixed as well. GOOD LUCK!

Noooo! That’s the worst. For a while I had both a computer and laptop. My computer died and was dead for a while, then within weeks of getting it fixed my laptop died (permanently). I was just thankful I had at least one of them, but it was frustrating losing stuff. Most was backed up, but not everything. Hope you’re back up and running again soon. Blogging with a tablet is just not worth it.

I don’t even think I could handle writing a blog post on my tablet.

And I feel your pain… my computer glitched this afternoon and I had a panic attack. I haven’t backed up much in a long time so I spent the afternoon backing up everything, just in case.

I hope your computer can be fixed or that you can find a great deal on a new one. 🙂

Dead computers are no fun. At least it sounds like you had everything backed up okay. I’ve had one computer irreparably crash on me (in the middle of college), and I was not as prepared back-up-wise as I should have been. Hope they can fix your computer quickly and cheaply!
